he highly anticipated complete novel of The Professional--the first installment in #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole's scorching Game Maker series, an erotica collection that has readers asking: How hot is too hot?

Meet the Professional.
Mafiya enforcer Aleksandr "The Siberian" Sevastyan's loyalty to his boss is unwavering, until he meets the boss's long-lost daughter, a curvy, tantalizing redhead who haunts his mind and heats his blood like no other. Ordered to protect her, Aleksandr will do anything to possess her as well--on his own wicked terms.

He makes the rules.
Grad student Natalie Porter has barely recovered from her first encounter with the dark and breathtaking Siberian when he whisks her away to Russia, thrusting her into a world of extreme wealth and wanton pleasures.

In the game of obsession, two players are better than one.
Yet all is not as it seems. To remove Natalie from an enemy's reach, Aleksandr spirits her into hiding. From an opulent palace in Russia to the decadent playgrounds of the mega-rich in Paris, the two lovers tempt each other's boundaries to discover whether their darkest--and most forbidden--fantasies really can come true....

Previously released as The Professional - Parts 1, 2 and 3 as eBook exclusives.

I haven't read Kresley's Immortals After Dark. But I know her reputation as an author, and that was why I agreed to try this one. Several weeks ago, I received this book and The Master (book 2) as a belated birthday presents, and so started my first taste of Kresley Cole.

"Was I just a job to you, Sevastyan?"
He gazed to the right of me as he answered, "That's all you can be."
"Do you wish you'd never been sent to America for me?" He faced me fully.
"Every second of the day."

Natalie Porter is curious about her true legacy. Twenty four and a grad student, she hired someone to look for her real parents. She doesn't know that knowing and finding out who her parents are will take her to the world of the Russkaya Mafiya, and throwing her into the path of Aleksandr "The Siberian" Sevastyan, her father's right-hand man and the sexiest man she ever meets.

Falling for him wasn't in the plans...

Most girls would kill for the opportunity to work for Jack McAlister, Hollywood's hottest actor, but twenty-one-year-old Jessica Beckett is ready to kick him out of her red Ford Fiesta and never look back. She should be spending her junior year in France, eating pastries and sharpening her foreign language skills. Instead she's reluctantly working as Jack's personal assistant, thanks to her powerhouse talent agent aunt.

Jack is private, prickly, and downright condescending. Jessica pushes his buttons—she's not the type of girl to swoon over celebrity heartthrobs, precisely why her aunt thought she'd be perfect for the job—and Jack pushes right back.

But as she begins to peel away his layers, Jessica is shocked to find she craves her boss's easy smile and sexy blue eyes. The problem is, so does the entire female population. And what started out as the job from hell soon has Jess wondering if a guy like Jack could ever find love with a regular girl like her.

Beyond The Stars's cover is admitedly pretty. I loved it. That was why I picked it :D I was craving for some celebrity love story, not just famous atheletes. But celebrities.

When I'm with Jack, I forget about the fame.

Jessica Beckett was supposed to go to Paris, spending her time there learning how to be a kickass pastry chef. But because she couldn't, she instead accepts her aunt's offer to be Jack McAllister's assistant for the summer. Needing the money, she trudges through. She just didn't expect Jack to be that...rude. She may dislikes actors on principles, but still, she just can't get mad at Jack.

BBI's 5th Day 4: Favorite Book Quotes

Day Four! I can't believe it. Yesterday I got a notification saying that Nalini Singh liked my silly letter. Haha. It was awesome. Even if my face went so red...

And today, what are we gonna do?
I was planning to make my own favorite book quotes. But well, homework is piling up and I had to finish those dreadful programming codes. So I'm going to just repost several quotes I got from The Rock Stars of Romance.

P.S. All credits of these pictures go to the creators of them on TRSOR.

BBI's 5th Day 3: BBI Haz a Birthday :D

Dear Bebi,
It's been four years of you and me together. You embraced this misfit when I was...eighteen? It was 2012 and I was happy to be a part of this amazing community where I found friends. Friends who love books as much as I do--and probably more than I do. From Jakarta to Jogja to Solo to Semarang to Gorontalo to...hell, everywhere in Indonesia!

You also gave me an honor to be one of the ladies that organize your Events. Okay, I'm not the artistic one or the grunt, hehe. I'm more the "post and wield the whip" kind. Being a girl behind the scene gives me so much experiences, joy, even grieves. I have to admit, several of your members are hard to reach...

I saw you grow up from a baby to a toddler. You're now five years old and you're getting bigger (figuratively, of course. I hope not literally). You have new members, you kicked out a few naughty ones. You even have this Forum for us to use, starting this year. You continue to grow up, getting more mature and organized. I hope that in the following years, you'll continue to be the beacon for Indonesia's book bloggers and readers communities. That you'll continue to help bookish communities to grow in Indonesia. That you'll be THE place to go for book bloggers, and that people will recognize BBI more and more.

Words cannot describe how proud I am to be a part of you.
I wish we can celebrate your birthday again next year, and the next, and the next!

So, here's a toast for you, with a bak pao and your favorite blue fanta.

The member that always holds the whip and be delighted because apparently I have inner Domme,

Nina Ridyananda of #1301065
P.S. Sorry that this letter is a bit hasty. I have a ton of homework, God help me

BBI's 5th Day 2: A Letter for Nalini Singh

So, this is the second day of BBI's Anniversary Party!
Today I'm gonna make a letter for my favorite author, Nalini Singh. She ALWAYS manages to make me happy and satisfied with her books. Starting from Guild Hunter series, to Psy-Changeling, even to her Rock Kiss series. I absolutely adore her writing, and looking forward to her books.

I am actually nervous to write this fanmail! *dying of mortification*

BBI's 5th Day 1: Top 5 BBI Bloggers

Happy Birthday, BBI! *throw confetti*

Blogger Buku Indonesia aka Indonesian Book Blogger is celebrating its 5th anniversary on April 13th, 2016. In the course of 5 years, BBI has grown greatly--and be a better organized community. Members are writing and creating a string of posts for it. Today, we're making a post about our favorite bloggers in BBI.

I rarely blogwalk :( I sometimes visit a certain blog on a whim. But I still have several BBIers's blogs I absolutely ADORE because they have pretty layouts, cool contents, or just plain great reviews.

Who are they?

Lord Ivan de Greystoke
Don’t let my fancy title fool you because I'm a bad boy. I've always been. Now I've set my sights on Tawny Maxwell the one woman who stirs a possessiveness and desire in me that makes my insides twist.
She's nineteen, blonde, fabulously beautiful, and married to Robert Maxwell.
Which makes her a gold digger and my f**king stepmother! Oh and completely unavailable ... until now.
For the old man’s dead, she’s the heiress of a hundred million fortune, and I’m the executor of her trust, but it ain't no walk in the park. My stepbrother and stepsisters feel robbed and are of the opinion that she should join her husband a.s.a.p, and I’ve got a raging hard-on. Permanently.
Then I come up with the perfect solution. A fake marriage ... to me.

Tawny Maxwell
Everyone thinks I’m a gold digger. Even the dazzlingly, beautiful man whom I can't stop thinking about looks at me with distrust and suspicion in his silver eyes.
But they don’t know the whole story.
I have a secret. It's so big it will blow their minds, but I’m not telling.

A forbidden billionaire alpha romance...

This is my first forray to Georgia's brand of sexy billionaire. I was sufficiently intrigued with the blurb and the promise of a forbidden romance, so I got this book.

Ivan de Greystoke just can't believe his bad luck that the woman he wants, the woman he craves, is his young stepmother. Married to his stepfather, the beautiful Tawny Maxwell continues to haunt his dream and turns him on whenever they're close enough. His dislikes of her is equally strong, for he thinks that Tawny married Robert for money.

He was like a stranger. Yet I loved him. He was my first love. He was my first for everything.

Winner Announcement: Rahasia Gadis Giveaway

Hi guys!
Thank you for participating in the giveaway of Rahasia Gadis book. On my review, you can see that the book is pretty and colorful. Not to mention, this book is limited-edition with pre-order only sale.

Because I'm pressed for my Power Point presentation, I'm just gonna announce who gets ONE copy of Rahasia Gadis. I asked you who are your inspirations. Most answers their moms. Well, I love my mom and she's an inspiration too :) I also look up to Demi Lovato, Margaret Thatcher, and Jackie Kennedy XD

Amanda S.
Women who inspires me? One of them is obviously my amazingly amazing mother who pretty much the best mother ever.
But I also look up to, wait for it, Miley Cyrus. Yes. That tongue-wagging young lady. I adore her so much I wanna be like her.
Aku pengin sekuat Miley mendengarkan opini orang and that's why Miley friggin' Cyrus is my girl. :)

Okay, Amanda, I didn't expect Miley haha. But you're right, she dares to be herself even if she became the target of many "tongue-lashing" :) I admire her courage and her kindness, though frankly, when she made her comeback, I was admittedly snarky towards her behaviour *sigh*

Please send your full address and phone number to my email ninaridyananda[at]gmail[dot]com. I only wish for you to post the book on Instagram and Twitter to share the love :)

Thank you again everyone. I'm going to make another giveaway in a week for BBI's 5th Anniversary. Stay tuned and good luck for your next giveaway-hunt.

There Be Monsters Here. . .

It's not as great as you'd think, living in a tourist town that's known as "the most magical place in America." Same boring high school, just twice as many monsters under the bridges and rival Families killing each other for power.

I try to keep out of it. I've got my mom's bloodiron sword and my slightly illegal home in the basement of the municipal library. And a couple of Talents I try to keep quiet, including very light fingers and a way with a lock pick.

But then some nasty characters bring their Family feud into my friend's pawn shop, and I have to make a call--get involved, or watch a cute guy die because I didn't. I guess I made the wrong choice, because now I'm stuck putting everything on the line for Devon Sinclair. My mom was murdered because of the Families, and it looks like I'm going to end up just like her. . .

YA books were out of my radar for awhile. The Fault in Our Stars is one of the paperbacks I never got around to read *sorry, my dear giver :(* This time, I was in the mood to read YA fantasy, and Jennifer Estep's Black Blade series caught my attention. The promise of a universe where magic and magical creatures exist is exciting.

Welcome Cloudburst Falls, West Virginia. Where you can visit trolls at the zoo, where prominent Houses keep track of everything magic in this city, where the main attraction in this tourist city is magic and its users. Lila Merriweather is a thief, stealing from members of the Houses, not to mention her own magic Talents. Her mom, a bodyguard, was murdered because of a feud between Families. When she saves the life of Devon Sinclair--not willingly, because she doesn't like getting involved with the Houses' problems--her life is turned around. Now she has to guard Devon with her life.

“I’d always thought of the monsters as my own sort of standoffish pets. If, you know, you thought pets that could eat you were cool. Which I totally did.”

The Shadowhunters of Los Angeles star in the first novel in Cassandra Clare’s newest series, The Dark Artifices, a sequel to the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series. Lady Midnight is a Shadowhunters novel.

It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses.

Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions…

Making things even more complicated, Julian’s brother Mark—who was captured by the faeries five years ago—has been returned as a bargaining chip. The faeries are desperate to find out who is murdering their kind—and they need the Shadowhunters’ help to do it. But time works differently in faerie, so Mark has barely aged and doesn’t recognize his family. Can he ever truly return to them? Will the faeries really allow it?

Glitz, glamours, and Shadowhunters abound in this heartrending opening to Cassandra Clare’s Dark Artifices series.

I was a bit wary starting up this book. But considering it was for BBI's monthly post, I thought it's a good idea. Besides, I didn't expect ti finish this book in a few short days. Boy, how right I was. I spent more than a week on this book, mainly because somehow, Lady Midnight didn't hold my attention like City of Bones did.

Lady Midnight is a spin-off with some secondary characters from The Mortal Instruments. I suggest you read TMI before, don't do what I did--jumping this book before reading book 5 and six of TMI.

There was beauty in the idea of freedom, but it was an illusion. Every human heart was chained by love.

Emma Carstairs lives in Los Angeles with her parabatai, Julian Blackthorne, and his family. It's five years since the Dark War, where many Shadowhunters were killed. Including Emma's parents. The world of Shadowhunters is still recovering from the devastation. In Los Angeles, though, a string of murders catch the attention of the Shadowhunters in the Institute. And Emma sees that these murders are somehow are somehow connected--or at least have something in common--with her parents' deaths.
